Andrea (Andy) Wolcott joined the Select Health board in 2011. Andy is very active in the community, serving on the board of several community organizations. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Service at Georgetown University, a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Utah, and a master’s-level equivalent degree from Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Washington.

Brett Sanford has been with CHG Healthcare since 2008, where he previously served as Vice President and Corporate Controller. He has over 20 years of experience in financial management, and has previously held positions at Morinda Holdings, Flying J Communications, KPMG, and Arthur Andersen. Brett is a graduate of Brigham Young University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree and his master’s degree. Brett is a Co-founder and Director of The Forever Bear Foundation.

Cydni Tetro, CEO, Brandless

Cydni Tetro is recognized as an innovator of experience, a growth leader, technologist, STEM advocate, author, and speaker. Creating immersive customer experiences through technology and product innovation for business growth and market leadership is woven through her career.

Cydni is currently the CEO of Brandless, a technology-enabled commerce platform that is building the largest roll-up of digitally native mission-based brands. Prior to that she was CEO of ForgeDX, a customer acceleration platform used by companies like Verizon, Adobe, Microsoft, Dell, and other large tech companies to transform customer experience. She also founded and was the CEO of 3DpulsMe.

She spent five years at Disney in Imagineering leading technology commercialization and building technology businesses inside Disney, including with Theme Parks, ESPN, and ABC. She is also founder and President of the Women Tech Council a non-profit that amplifies the economic impact of women in tech, she teaches at the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business Program, Babson, and BYU. She sits on a number of boards and has been recognized as Women of the Year, Contributor of the Year, Top 10 Coolest Entrepreneurs, received Stevie Awards for Entrepreneur of the Year and Innovator of the Year, and been recognized as a Most Successful Businesswoman to Watch.

She holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s in computer science from Brigham Young University.

Deneece G. Huftalin, PhD., President, Salt Lake Community College

Dr. Deneece Huftalin has served as the eighth President of Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) since September 2014.

She has taught at the University of Utah and serves on several community boards and committees including the Salt Lake Chamber, EDCUtah, the Women’s Leadership Institute, the Intermountain Community Care Foundation, the International Women’s Forum Utah Chapter, and the World Trade Center Utah. Nationally, Dr. Huftalin serves on the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Salt Lake City Branch Board of Directors, the Presidents’ Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration Steering Committee, the LeaderShape Board of Trustees, and has served as a commissioner and Executive Committee member for the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.

Before joining SLCC in 1992, Dr. Huftalin held positions at William Rainey Harper College, Northwestern University, the University of Utah, Stanford University, and the Institute for Shipboard Education. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah, a master’s degree from UCLA, and a doctorate in Education, Leadership, and Policy from the University of Utah.

Josh England, President, C.R. England, Inc.

Josh England is the President of C.R. England Inc., a Salt Lake City-based transportation provider with operations throughout the United States and Mexico. He has been involved in the family business since the age of 14, working in most departments in the company and even obtaining and maintaining his Commercial Driver’s License. Prior roles include Chief Financial Officer of C.R. England and President of England Logistics, a wholly owned subsidiary of C.R. England. He is a graduate of the University of Utah with a bachelor’s in business management and received his MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

J.P. Valin, Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer, Intermountain Health

J.P. Valin, MD, FACP, is the Chief Clinical Officer for Intermountain Health. Prior to that, he joined SCL Health as President of Medical Group and Provider Services in September 2016 and assumed the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer in February 2018.

As Chief Clinical Officer of SCL Health, Dr. Valin integrated and provided direction for all clinical activity across the continuum. All clinical programs aligned under Dr. Valin including the SCL Health Medical Group; acute care clinical operations; Quality, Safety and Risk; and Medical Informatics to maximize Clinical Integration and Alignment.

In his role, Dr. Valin provides strategic and operational leadership to employed providers and Medical Group associates in each region as well as the system-level Provider Services associates, and support services. He manages the full scope of the Medical Group and Provider Services division to achieve a thriving delivery structure, successful performance improvement standards, a highly attractive practice environment for providers, and improved clinical quality, population health and financial outcomes.

Dr. Valin joined SCL Health from Banner Health in Greeley, Colorado, where he served in various leadership roles for 10 years. He practiced clinically for 15 years as both a full scope general internist and as a full-time hospitalist. He is a graduate of Georgetown University and New York Medical College and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at New York Presbyterian - Weill Cornell in New York City.

Kate Sanderson, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, R1

Kate Sanderson is the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for R1 RCM, a leading provider of revenue cycle services to healthcare providers. As a seasoned Human Resources (HR) executive, Kate is known for building strong teams, driving HR strategy, scaling the HR function, and solving complex organization challenges. At R1, Kate is leading the human capital agenda for a high-growth global business with an employee population that has grown from 3,000 to 20,000+ in less than four years. She is leading the HR transformation to build a scalable function that will enable continued growth and business performance.

Prior to joining R1, Kate spent 15 years in various HR leadership roles at Aon. Kate is also experienced in driving large-scale change initiatives including business transformation, global platform implementation, and HR business process outsourcing (BPO) and offshoring. For the past decade, Kate has held global roles overseeing teams and clients in Eastern and Western Europe and Asia/India in addition to North America.

She is a Leadership Fellow with International Women’s Forum, a sponsoring executive for the Cornell Center for Advanced Human Resources and a member of the Board of Young Women’s Leadership Charter School. Prior to joining Aon in 2003, Kate worked at CIGNA where she was a graduate of the HR Leadership Program. She holds a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations (MILR) degree from Cornell University.

Liz Owens, Chief Executive Officer, YWCA, Utah

Liz Owens, Chief Executive Officer, YWCA, Utah

Liz Owens has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the YWCA, Utah, since April 2020. She previously served as the Executive Director of Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault (UCASA) and has dedicated her career to gender and racial justice. Owens has expertise in domestic violence and the effects of trauma on individuals and families and approaches her work through the lens of understanding the intersecting issues and dimensions of identity.

Liz has taught sociology, social inequality, and program planning courses at Utah Valley University, Salt Lake Community College, and Westminster College. In addition, she previously worked at Women in Prison (London, UK), the Utah Pride Center, the Utah Domestic Violence Coalition, Planned Parenthood Association of Utah, and the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault, and has served on many boards and in volunteer positions in the community.

A native of Provo, Utah, Owens earned her Bachelor of Science at Utah Valley University and her Master of Arts in the Theory and Practice of Human Rights from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom. She was a visiting research fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science and is a sought- after presenter and instructor.

Michael Anglin, Industry Segment Manager, UPS (retired)

Michael Anglin directed the Marketing to Professional Services Industry for UPS. His responsibilities included growing UPS’s market share in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. His career started in 1983 with an entry level position that led to several job changes and promotions.

Michael has a passion for helping his community and supports several community organizations, including ChamberWest, Community Education Partnership, United Way, and the Utah Food Bank. In addition, Michael is working to make a difference in West Valley City as the founding President of the Valley West Rotary Club.

 Rob Allen, President and CEO, Intermountain Health

Rob Allen, President and Chief Executive Officer, Intermountain Health

Rob Allen is President and CEO of Intermountain Health. Prior to beginning his role as President and CEO in November 2022, Rob served as Chief Operating Officer for five years. He was named as one of the top 25 COOs in healthcare by Modern Healthcare. Rob has served in executive leadership at Intermountain for 25 years.

Under his leadership, Rob has helped propel Intermountain to national recognition as a leading model for innovating health and wellness solutions, increasing value, and improving affordability and accessibility to all. He led the system efforts to develop and launch innovative outreach, telehealth, and clinical shared service models. He led Intermountain's nationally recognized operational work and continuous improvement culture to align providers, caregivers, and services across much of the interior west.

Rob has also held CEO roles at hospitals and health systems in Wyoming, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Rob has served on many foundation, chamber, and service boards. Rob earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Utah State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in operations management from Brigham Young University.

Rob Hitchcock, President and CEO

Rob Hitchcock is the President and CEO of Select Health and has executive oversight for Select Health strategy and operations, including service delivery for Select Health members. Rob joined Select Health in August of 2022 as the President of Government Programs and Chief Value-based Payment Officer. He was named the interim President and CEO in November 2022 and selected as the permanent President and CEO in February 2023.

In his most recent role, Rob was the Chief Operating Officer for Anthem’s Diversified Business Group (DBG) and was responsible for the operations portfolio of companies within DBG including AIM Specialty, CareMore, Aspire, and Beacon Health Options.

Prior to joining Anthem, Rob was the President of Government and Consumer Solutions for Health Care Services Corporation (HCSC). In this role, Rob oversaw the Medicare, Medicaid, and Individual lines of business, which covered 2.7 million members and generated revenues of $14 billion. While at HCSC, Rob guided the organization through two CMS program audits, improved the profitability of the division by more than $500 million, procured the Illinois and New Mexico Medicaid contracts, and grew membership by 14%.

Rocio Summers is Principal and Founder of RS International Business Consulting, a firm dedicated to helping corporations and non-profit organizations from Europe and Latin America establish operations in the United States. Previously, she served as Chief Financial Officer of Maxam North America. Rocio earned a master’s degree from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, and completed the General Management Program of the Executive Education Department at Harvard Business School. Rocio serves on the board of directors for several community organizations.
