Know your pharmacy benefits:

In-network pharmacies

Using an in-network pharmacy helps you save money and maintain your benefits. You can also set up refill reminders as needed, just remember to always bring your ID card when filling a prescription.

Prescription drug list

Our prescription drug list includes name-brand and generic drugs chosen for safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The list may change periodically.

Generic drugs

Generic drugs have the same active ingredients as name-brand drugs, but cost less. Choosing generic brands can save you money without compromising quality.

90-Day prescription benefit

Some plans allow you to fill a 90-day supply of maintenance medications at a lower cost through in-network pharmacies or mail delivery.

Drugs with special requirements (step therapy and preauthorization)

Certain drugs require preauthorization or step therapy before they are approved on your plan. Your doctor can request an exception if alternatives don’t meet your needs.

Specialty medications

Specialty medications are used to treat chronic conditions and may require special handling or administration. Coverage varies by plan.

Excluded drugs

Not all prescription drugs are covered. Check your plan documents or contact Member Services for details.

Choosing the right care:

Primary care

Primary care is focused on keeping you healthy and guiding you through your everyday medical needs. It's crucial to long-term health and includes preventive visits, immunizations, screenings, and more.

If you haven’t yet, the first step in your healthcare journey is to select a Primary Care Doctor (PCP) and schedule an annual preventive visit. Our provider search tool makes it easy to find a doctor that's close to home and works with your schedule.

Urgent care

Urgent care centers treat non-life-threatening issues like minor injuries, burns, or flu symptoms. For routine care, please schedule an annual wellness visit with your Primary Care Doctor.

Emergency care

An emergency is a medical condition that needs to be treated right away, including life-threatening symptoms such as chest pain, severe bleeding, or trouble breathing. Call 911 or go to the ER immediately when you have an emergency.

Select Health Member Advocates

Member Advocates can help you find providers, schedule appointments, and navigate your care options.

Care Management

Select Health Care Managers can help you navigate your health plan and care choices. They can support your mental, physical, and emotional health needs, so you can live your healthiest life possible.

Virtual care

Virtual care and telehealth services may also be available at little to no cost.

Nurse line

Our registered nurse line provides 24/7 access to an experienced medical resource you can trust at no additional cost.

Find care outside of Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Colorado

When traveling, urgent and emergency care is included in your plan, even outside your service area. Just remember to bring your ID card.

Coverage decisions

We use medical policies and evidence-based guidelines to make fair coverage decisions. We do not reward anyone for denying care.

New technologies are often used to diagnose and treat medical conditions. While many of these new technologies are improvements on current options, some may not be as effective.
